Spurred by the 1944 goal to produce 122 billion pounds of milk wartime needs push 4-H members statewide to enroll in the National 4-H Production Activity. Kraft Cheese Co. awards include medals for top county winners and $25 War Bonds to high rating members with dairy heifers or cows. National prizes offer trips to the National 4-H Club Congress in Chicago and $200 college scholarships to six national champions.

The Wilmington College Aeolian Choir makes its eighteenth and final public appearance of the year in the Home Concert at 8 15 P M in the college chapel. Batavia youth Pvt. William S. Rust, son of Mr and Mrs Clinton Rust, Batavia, Batavia route 5, has reported to Kessler Field Biloxi Mississippi for Army processing to determine qualifications as a pre aviation cadet. At Kessler Field he will receive training classification medical and psychological tests. Upon success he will be sent to a college for five months study or directly to a pre flight center depending on his academic background.
