Batavia Village School Board met in regular session last Thursday evening. They approved bills and conducted routine business. Ethel Mitchell and Clara Johnson were given one year leaves of absence, Minnie Ungelheam and Marlowe were hired in their places. A janitor bid from George Waits at $68 per month was reviewed. Andy Burnett’s $100 per month salary from the past year was noted. No action taken on the janitor, but a potential saving is anticipated. The existing staff was retained for the next year.
