George Hickey aged 68 a well to do businessman disappeared from his South Milford residence at 5 o clock Wednesday morning. Citizens formed a posse and river tracks suggested he entered the water and was swept away. The body was found in the river below Milford on Thursday morning confirming death by drowning.

Charles McMath, aged about 74, died of heart trouble in Moscow Ohio on April 17 1921. For 35 years he sold for Minor and Dixon Wholesale Grocers Cincinnati covering Bracken Mason Robertson Fleming Lewis and Bath counties. He retired January 1 1920. A Civil War veteran he served until its end and was twice married leaving a son Ethel who later ran a Augusta grocery. His second wife, once a Flemingsburg resident, survives him.
