Milford man seeks 120000 damages in fraud suit

George Allen of Porters Run Road Milford files a $120,000 damage suit in Common Pleas Court against Albee Grand Homes Amelia and its subsidiary Approved Bancredit Corp of Niles Ohio. He alleges signing blank papers led to a higher $13,755 loan and hidden terms. He seeks 75,000 in damages plus 20,000 attorney fees and 75,000 punitive damages. defendants say misrepresentation caused Allen to purchase and build with final mortgage money uncertain.

Bowl Down Cancer fundraiser honors top bowlers in Clermont

John Retzler won the men’s top score and Dorothy Bissantz earned the women’s top score at Tepe's Batavia Lanes for the Bowl Down Cancer event. University College Set to Open at Amelia High School

Clermont County officials announce the new Clermont County Center, University College of the University of Cincinnati, will open October 7 at Amelia high school. Dean H C Krueger urges seniors and adults to apply early for two-year programs offering associate degrees and various career oriented or general education tracks.

State to Conduct Survey of Traffic Intersections

Clermont County Commissioners learn that the State Highway Department will conduct traffic surveys at Woodville Pike and Route 28, and Amelia Olive Branch Road and Route 125, to address rising accident numbers and determine needed controls. They plan to advertise next week for bids on a 328 111 dollar road resurfacing program, reduced from an engineer’s 45 402 estimate. Roads omitted will be repaired next year. They add a two way radio unit costing 835 dollars and a 215 dollar remote control unit to the county highway system and reject Southern Ohio Utility Co. demand to cut water service to Withamsville subdivision residents over sewer bills.

Man Collapses and Dies in Doctor's Office

John W. Briggs aged 52 of Bodman Road Mt Crab collapsed and died Monday in Dr Alvin Friedman's Batavia office after a heart attack. Briggs an engineer at General Hospital Cincinnati served in World War II as a Merchant Marine. Lou Darbro Named Citizen of the Year by Batavia Group

Judge M. Dale Osborne of Clermont County Common Pleas Court sentenced Edward L. Painten to one year probation for operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent. Bill Burdsall was elected president of the Clermont County Auto Safety 4-H Club at the April 25 meeting held at Clarence Dorsey’s home on Jackson Pike. Man Loses Toes In Batavia Mowing Accident

Walter Gardner Jr. was injured Monday when a mower cut off the first two toes of his right foot at a Batavia home on W Main Street. He was assisted by Police Chief Ed Colonel and taken to Good Samaritan Hospital where doctors performed amputations before life squad transport. The incident occurred near 430 S Riverside and involved Dr. Carl Sedacca.

Sky Diver Injured During Parachute Jump

Williamsburg Ohio report says Robert Whitt 26 of 153 Farragut Rd Greenhills was injured in a Sunday parachute jump. He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital by the Williamsburg Life Squad with a fractured back after hitting a utility pole guy wire.
