County Prosector and motorist treated after crash in Batavia

County Prosecutor Robert A. Jones and the woman driver were released from the hospital with minor injuries. Blood donors from Bethel area and Nike Base aided Deputy Rouvier, Dr. Wong, and nurse. the ACS Clermont County Unit held a county wide meeting in Batavia with local leaders including Charles P. Woods and Bertha Howell. The event highlighted cancer research and fundraising urging contributions to the American Cancer Society in Batavia.

Deputy Still Critical After Unusual Highway Accident

Clermont County deputy sheriff Sam Rouvier 30 of Amelia remained in critical condition at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital Mariemont after a late Thursday crash on State Rt 132 near Lindale. His convertible struck three horses owned by a local individual as they ran toward the car, carrying Prosecutor Robert A. Jones.

Grand Jury Indicts Two in Clermont County Murders

The Clermont County Grand Jury indicted Curt Barger of Hamersville on second degree murder for the April 19 shooting of Colonel Woods at the Log Cabin Inn in New Richmond. N A Baillargeon of New Richmond faces a first degree manslaughter charge for the Jan. 9 death of Paul Slade at a Mt. Holly service station. The case involves a crash sequence with horses and a convertible, injuring Donna Duncan and others. Deputy Rouvier required surgery after head injuries. An appeal for blood donations was answered by local residents.

Saxbe campaigns in Clermont County call for strong turnout

Attorney General William B. Saxbe urged Republicans to vote in November to protect four years of Ohio progress. He spoke at Hil’s office in Batavia and touted job gains under Gov.
