A large crowd attended as the lodge has initiated about 14 members since October, with music by Jenike Searles and Jennings enhancing the ceremony. Sudden Death of Mrs Hopper Shocks Forestville Family
The community mourns the passing of Mrs. Frank Hopper of Forestville daughter of Mr and Mrs Chas B Hopkins of Amelia aged about 44. She was active in the O E 8 Chapter at Amelia and died after a brief illness. Funeral was held at the home Tuesday at 1 80 with burial in Amelia. She leaves a husband parents a sister and a brother. The public extends sympathy.

Bethel Matriarch Mrs. TC Young Dies at 78
Mrs. TC Young of Bethel dies after a long illness at her home at 9 46 Monday night. Funeral from the home Wednesday at 1 30 with Rev Quinlan of Georgetown conducting. She was 78, leaves a husband and several children and was one of Bethel’s oldest and most popular citizens.

Man and Wife Die Within Days After 56 Years Together
Obituaries honor Mary Ellen Harris and Mitchell Hardwick of Clermont Amelia who died within three days of each other after 56 years of marriage. Harris born near Felicity in 1833, moved through Iowa to Ohio, mother of four, died April 25, 1915. Hardwick born in Lee County Iowa in 1886, husband of Harris since 1859, died April 28, 1915. Both buried in M. E. cemetery after services at Amelia Baptist Church with Rev. J A Rader.

An auditor said the election fund lacked money until a new law allowed drawing salaries from the county fund. After talks with the prosecutor, funds were released.
