Clermont County hospital to receive Burke estate grant

The Clermont County hospital will get a quarter million dollars from the Edmund Burke estate. Trustees Khory and Mrs. George Shahood will present the first $50,000 check at 3 p.m. Thursday, with additional $50,000 installments every three months.

Clermont County Plans Extensive Summer Road Repairs

County officials announce 121.31 miles of road work this summer with 47.19 miles slated for blacktopping at 586 840 dollars and 74.12 miles for tar and chip treatment. State work covers 10.23 miles with 155 460 dollars, including patches on haul roads and multiple local routes.

Man Accused In Auto Disposal

Thomas Sweeney of 3145 Bracken Rd is accused by Clermont County Sheriff of receiving and concealing a stolen motor. Sweeney operates Wiggonsville Auto Parts on SR 133 and is held on a $5,000 bond after a 1965 Corvette stolen in Cincinnati was recovered from his business.

Massey Captures Clermont County Victory In Busy Balloting

With five counties still reporting, Massey sweeps Clermont County and is virtually certain to win the Republican nomination for State Senate from the 4th district. Elected officials across the ticket include Malott, Herking, Cann, Hogan Jr, and others in county offices. Ballots counted from 120 GOP and 90 Democrat precincts show Eades leading Watson statewide while Watson leads Clermont County.
