Two Missing After Aluminum Boat Capsizes in Little Miami River
Three men rode a 12 foot aluminum boat from Loveland to Newtown when it capsized near Milford. Robert Gibbs and Paul Barnes are missing and presumed drowned, Donald Gibbs escaped to shore. Fire units from Milford, Terrace Park and Newtown searched the river as the boat drifted past Kellogg Avenue.

The Clermont County Community Council Free Store began April 22 at the Service Center in Batavia. Alva E. Hendrixson died May 4 at Holmes Hospital Cincinnati at age 101. Burial was in Felicity Cemetery. Born April 24, 1871, he was a former blacksmith, salesman, grocer, and longtime insurance agent. Survived by son Brice and wife Ruth of Batavia and daughter Cecile L. Killin and husband Edwin of Mt. Washington. He belonged to Felicity Methodist Church Bethel IOOF Lodge and Rebeccah Lodge.
