Clermont County awards contracts amid absences and deaths
Clermont County commissioners Jerry McBride and Robert Croswell ratified contracts with water and sewer and human services employees in a special meeting. Deputies Get Overtime Pay After Transfer
Clermont County commissioners approved moving 19000 dollars from the general fund to the sheriff's salary account to cover strike security overtime. Deputy Charles Clendenin initially voted no then backed the measure to avoid delaying payment. Chief deputy Clarence Pennington said the sheriff couldn’t process overtime before the transfer, while Administrator Patrick Dinan said reimbursement could follow and Sgt. Bob Evans announced checks would be ready Friday.
