Pharos of Columbus A Caribbean Lighthouse for a New World
The article argues for a modern Pharos of Columbus as a monumental lighthouse and memorial on Hayt island linking Columbus’s legacy to aviation and maritime safety. It notes a $2,000,000 cost funded by Western governments and a design featuring protective measures against Caribbean perils. It links the old Pharos of Alexandria to Western architectural influence and envisions a guiding beacon for seafarers and aviators alike.
