Miss Helen Gallagher 22 recreational director for F E R A schools in Clermont County was severely injured when her auto skidded off Route 74 two miles west of Batavia crashed into a tree. She suffered a compound leg fracture and severe bruises. taken to Bethesda Hospital Cincinnati and later reported out of danger.

Rush Named Deputy Surveyor for Federal Works Relief
Carl Rush appointed deputy surveyor by County Surveyor Arche Holland to prepare projects for the Federal Works Relief Administration pork barrel program. County Commissioners added $600 for the surveyor to fund this work. Clermont expected to gain from the new works relief if suitable projects are submitted promptly. Rush, a Bethel resident, is a known engineer in the region and at Columbus.
