Residents Push Widening Of Frank Willis Memorial Road
Residents along Frank Willis Memorial Road in Ohio and Monroe townships petitioned county commissioners Friday to widen the narrow road and correct a dangerous curve at Rt. 52. Commissioners authorized County Engineer Carl H Rush to estimate costs and widen and grade 1,000 feet north from Rt. 52, and to survey an easement on Rt. 222 near the county home for the state highway department. Plans aim to straighten two curves to improve sight distance. Rush reported inspecting Neville Penn Schoolhouses Road and Fruit Ridge Road after a Nike base bus incident and noted large potholes. Commission approved patching from Rt. 756 to the missile base.

Floyd Hammonds 22 and cousin Donald Ray Hammonds 26 were charged with grand larceny of contractor material valued at 100 dollars. Sheriff Clyde B.
