Williamsburg Herb Rowan a Miami University senior forward earned the Redskins MVP trophy and the best shooter honor from the team. He led with 285 points on 12.4 average and 43 percent shooting, plus 103 of 133 free throws for .774. Rowan averaged 8.7 rebounds and had standout 23, 18, and 17 point performances.

Board Seeks Bids for School Alterations and Additions

Sealed proposals will be received at Clermont Northeastern High School near Owensville for alterations to Owensville school, an addition to Newtonsville school and toilets and sewage plant at Marathon school. Four Owensville divisions and Newtonsville bids cover general construction, electrical, heating and plumbing. Drawings by Howard Thomas J McClorey Cincinnati. Landfill Licensed By Health Board

The Southeastern County Landfill on Laurel Pt. Isabel Rd. between Bethel and New Richmond was licensed by county sanitarian Ralph Frazier. Owner Mrs. Margo Middleton and partner W. O. Poe of New Richmond will operate the site with Poe as bulldozer operator. The site had prior approval and now meets last year’s health board standards.

Union township zoning appeals board upholds denial of building permits for Superior Development Co. of Cincinnati for 36 lots in Fernell Heights Block 2 on Summerside Rd. 90 Acre Annexation Sought For Loveland

A petition to annex 90 acres to Loveland was filed with Clermont County commissioners last week. The large tract at Rt. 48 and Ward's Corner Rd is owned by Mrs. Martha P Hutchinson and Loveland Presbyterian Church, with eight smaller parcels involved. A subdivision development is contemplated in the annexation proposal.

Banker's Son Wins Wilson Graduate Study Fellowship

Charles Mike Schneider UC McMicken senior English major wins 1960-61 Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship, Princeton. Walnut Hills graduate, son of Charles and Mrs Schneider, lives at 1935 Berkley Ave. He will receive 1500 stipend and funding for a year of graduate study, hoping to study English and philosophy at Harvard and pursue college teaching. He previously edited UC Profile and won the 1958 Robert Lee Straus poetry prize.

Goshen Boosters 4-H Exhibit Highlights Old Woman in the Shoe

During National 4-H Club Week the Goshen Boosters 4-H Club displayed at the Goshen post office. The show titled The Old Woman in the Shoe depicted how her many children improved through 4-H club work with small placards and miniature members. Advisors are George Fender Frank Fender and Lloyd Andrews. George Fender will receive 10 year recognition at Ohio State University for service to 4-H in Clermont County. The 4-H Week theme was Learn Live and Serve Through 4-H.
