Easter Egg Hunt Set By Clermont Courier and Legion
The Clermont Courier and Frank W. Weaver Post American Legion sponsor the Easter Egg Hunt for Clermont children on April 9 at 2 p.m. on State Route 74 near Batavia. Prizes come from Batavia merchants as eggs with lucky numbers are hidden for three age groups. Parents retrieve numbered eggs by visiting Main Street shops to claim prizes, with color eggs supplied by the paper and eggs exchanged for subscriptions.

Following last week's wind storm Cincinnati Bell dispatched over twenty skilled technicians from Cincinnati to restore disrupted service in Clermont County. Fallen trees and limbs damaged pole lines and cables, affecting more than 600 lines. by noon the next day major damage was repaired and service restored. The photo shows a splicer repairing a severed cable at Victoria and Clark Streets in Batavia.

The Batavia restaurant and the drive in on State Routes 125 and 222, owned by Determan's Inc, were offered for sale by Alfred Determan. He plans to rest after about five years at the drive in and one year in Batavia. Prices were not disclosed. The Dairy Bar on Main Street has closed and Rice's Cafe is also for sale.

Milk For Schools Urged By Women
Clermont County Farm Bureau women's committee met at the co op building in Batavia on March 24. New officers were elected for the year: H A Steward chairman, Pascahl Stahl vice chair, Dorothy Buzzard secretary, Ernest Straub legislative representative. The group will urge all schools to join the new milk program. The county PTA will be asked by milk producers to promote farming products in rural schools.
