Prizes Await Children In Fifth Easter Egg Hunt
The fifth annual Easter Egg Hunt, organized by the Clermont Courier and the Frank W. Weaver Post American Legion, will be held at the legion grounds on Route 74 Saturday April 8 at 2 pm for Clermont County children. About 80 prizes, 600 eggs, adult viewing area, and prize numbers displayed in stores accompany a safe, organized hunt for ages four to 12 in three groups. Batavia merchants donate prizes. eggs will be colored and some prize eggs will be numbered for redemption.

County lifts dog quarantine after 90 days without rabies
Clermont County health commissioner Dr. F M Oxley announces the county dog quarantine is removed since the 90 day period without a positive rabies case has expired. He urges all dogs be vaccinated now to prevent future outbreaks. Dairy Bar owners Harry and Jewel Bender say they will reopen at a new Batavia location and thank customers for support.

Services Set For Korea Marine Vet Wymer
Funeral services planned for Marine Pfc. Robert D. Wymer at 2 pm Saturday. His body will arrive under military escort at the Monroe funeral home Thursday for burial in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Wymer was killed in action November 28 1950 in Yudam Korea. He is survived by his parents Mr and Mrs Harold Wymer and four brothers and three sisters.

Life Ended In Auto Backing Incident In Illinois
Robert Bunch 46 formerly of here died last Saturday night after falling from his car as he backed out of a driveway on C H Spurgeon’s farm near Mt Zion Road. He wedged between a gate and the car and died en route to or at the scene. He left a widow Bertha and a son Jack, plus his mother and four sisters and two brothers. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Lew F White funeral home with burial in Green Mound.

Contest Rules Set For Farm Project
Williamsburg Ohio reports the 1955 Efficiency in Farming committees met March 29 at Williamsburg High School to finalize contest rules. Eligible entrants include self supporting farm owners in Clermont County with entries due by April 25 1955. The program covers farm and home phases and features topics like bulk milk handling and kitchen efficiency. A dinner will close the contest in November 1956. Race Bowl Opens Sunday April 10 at Glen Este
Red Puller Speedway in Glen Este Ohio will start its 1955 stock car season on Sunday April 10. Major improvements to the quarter mile dirt track are noted and top dirt track drivers are expected to compete. Seven races headline opening day including a 30 lap feature. Consolidation Plan for Clermont County Schools Planned
Pierce Township School principal Richard E. McKinnis announced that a proposal to consolidate New Richmond and Pierce Township districts will be submitted to the Clermont County Board of Education on April 14. If approved, merger could take effect July 1 for the next school year and Locust Corner students would increasingly attend New Richmond High School. The plan has PTA backing and Citizens School Committee endorsement, with consideration also given to consolidating Glen Estett Carmel and Williamsville Tabasco districts.
