Union township post office plan debated at civic meeting
E N Steiger labeled the plan as scuttlebutt while stating Cincinnati 30 as the Union township mailing address remains under study. Rep James G Polk protested mounted routes for Batavia and Amelia, urging delays until patrons’ views are heard. The three civic groups seek a Union township branch post office and unified mailing. Mrs Blyth Heckler won a 1956 Cadillac at a Cincinnati Junior Chamber of Commerce supper.
