Annual Meeting and Oratorical Contest at Batavia Town Hall
The Spring meeting of the Clermont County Teachers Association and the annual oratorical contest will be held at Batavia Town Hall on Saturday March 31. Prof W L Graves of Ohio State University will address the teachers in the forenoon starting 10:30. Afternoon program includes music and oratory contests with a door charge of ten cents for children and twenty five cents for adults. Judges include Prof W L Graves and Joseph Surdo.

Greenfield man held on bad check charge in Hillsboro
William Smith of Greenfield was brought to Hillsboro county jail Thursday after arrest for issuing a bad check to P. L. Hines. He pleaded guilty at arraignment before Mayor Wise and was bound over to court on a $500 bond.

Crime Reduced by Shanty Boat Man Conviction
John Crawford once indicted for burglary and grand larceny was captured in Indiana, brought back to Clermont county jail, and found guilty of petit larceny. One hundred eighty attended Sunday school last Sun. The Men's Bible Class was well represented and the morning service was well attended.
