Pioneer Armacost Dies at 94 in Ohio
George F. Armacost 94 retired Clermont county farmer and Civil War veteran died Thursday at Hamet Ohio home of his nephew J K Day. Funeral was held Saturday at 11 a m at Laurel M E church. He lived in Clermont county most of life ran a fruit farm over eighty acres. He was a Bank of Amelia director and former Odd Fellows member. Survived by a sister in New Richmond Ohio.

The State Public Utilities Commission authorized the abandonment of local round trip passenger service between Portsmouth and Cincinnati effective April 28. Train 37 from Portsmouth at 3 05 PM and Train 388 from Cincinnati at 7 40 AM will be cut, with 15 days’ notice required. The evening Cincinnati train hour is unclear, and mail handling is not yet determined. Herman Storer aged 21 deputy post master of Williamsbury died when his Ford coupe was struck by a touring car near Wallsburg on a Sunday ride to Georgetown. Albert Innis and Ben Croswell were seriously injured as the other vehicle fled the scene leaving the driver unknown. The body was sent to Williamsburg by Daily & Maham.
