Williamsburg to Launch 1967 Education Crusade Against Cancer
The Community of Williamsburg announces a 1967 Education Crusade to Fight Cancer led by Rev. John M. Benson. Mrs. Larry Cadwallader heads the Williamsburg Crusade starting April 9 with Jr. Women PTA and civic groups assisting. Julius J. Knauer chairs the 1967 Business Crusade, active in the American Legion and Masonic Lodge. Ralph Kenneth Carter, a veteran ACS volunteer, leads the Williamsburg Village Crusade. Cadwallader and Knauer urge volunteers to join and support the effort to conquer cancer.

Weaver Post American Legion and The Clermont Courier sponsor an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday March 25 at 2 p.m. on the post grounds off Route 32 east of Batavia. 1000 eggs are hidden with 74 prize eggs from 44 Batavia businesses. children hunt by age groups with separate areas while younger tots receive treats indoors. Milford woman given suspended jail term for phone harassment
Mrs Rose Whitmer 35 of Pleasant Hill Road Milford received a 60 day suspended jail sentence after a February conviction for telephone harassment. County Court Judge John D Erhardt ordered no further calls for a year and she paid 18.70 in costs. The case involved a complaint by Mrs Gloria De Valut of Tabasco who said Whitmer made humorous calls to annoy her. Amelia Chapter No 338, OES will host a smorgasbord April 8 at 5 p.m. at Amelia Methodist Church Main and Church Streets.
