Dentists Back Fluoridation and School Clinic Plan

Clermont County dentists endorsed fluoridation of public water and proposed a central school dental clinic funded by a possible tax levy. The plan would provide preventive care to indigent children via Welfare screening, with part time dentist participation and a full time hygienist. An advisory committee was appointed and the group planned another meeting in six months.

Ohio counties report higher receipts than expenditures in 1961

Ohio’s 88 counties show total receipts of 485,416,548 and expenditures of 477,750,438 for 1961. The year marks increases of 37,822,480 in receipts and 10,695,478 in expenditures. Clermont County totals were 2,967,468 receipts and 2,992,022 expenditures.

Cowboy Lee Delivers Letter To President On Cross Country Ride

Idaho traveler Dan Lee known as Bandit the horseman rode into Clermont County after a long journey from Council Idaho toward Washington. He aims to deliver an invitation to participate in the Centennial celebration and looks toward cherry blossoms on Pennsylvania Avenue in about 35 days. Along the way he camped with hospitable families and drew crowds as his cattle drive like trek drew praise in a Western flavored route through Milford and Marient.

Goshen Community Improvement Association Meets Thursday

The Goshen Community Improvement Association will hold its regular meeting Thursday March 28 at 8 p m in the Goshen junior high school building. Topics include extending the water system in Goshen township adding a traffic light at the state routes 182 and 98 intersection police protection road improvements between schools better telephone service and Goshen area rate discussions. Registration Date For Kindergarten Set At Batavia

Batavia kindergarten enrollment for children who will be five years old on or before October 15 is scheduled from 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 2 p.m. Friday March 22 at the elementary building.
