In Batavia Armory action last Saturday the county basketball tournament crowned Loveland girls and Batavia boys as champions. Owensville girls and Milford boys earned runners up cups after morning and afternoon rounds. Final scores featured Loveland girls 29 Owensville 20 and Batavia 41 Milford to claim the cups.

County recorders push four year term plan in Ohio
Columbus Ohio recorders formed a state organization and adopted a resolution urging the legislature to pass a bill raising county recorder terms from two to four years. The measure would allow last fall two year term electees to start four year terms September 1. Representative Edgington introduced the bill. Harry L. Federman was elected president, R. J. Williams secretary treasurer, and Harriett E. Mofford vice president. Leaders reportedly consider extending four year terms to all two year county officials to match Auditors and Commissioners.
