Amelia Students Sell Subscriptions for Courier Drive

Amelia Elementary School sixth graders will again sell subscriptions to the Clermont Courier to raise funds. Beginning subscriptions and renewals will be taken from customers who supported the drive last year. This year 93 sixth graders participate as the Courier costs 48 dollars per year.

Wiggins Pleads Guilty to Lesser Charge in Postal Probe

Wiggins, 50, and his wife offered no comment after a plea bargain over misappropriation of about $1700 found in a routine postal stock check on February 25. He resides at 791 McClelland Road Milford.

Owensville Bicentennial Fair Draft Bylaws Review Planned

The Owensville Bicentennial Fair committee reviews draft bylaws to accompany incorporation papers. Members include Robert Slade John Armleder and Grethel with a meeting set for next month. The Clermont Courier sponsors the 24th Batavia Easter egg hunt at Frank W. Weare lagoon sevee Batavia next Saturday afternoon. One thousand fresh eggs are provided by the Courier and cooked Friday night by American Legion members with up to 80 percent numbered for prize matching before the hunt.

Time To Renew Car License Tags

Passenger names A through K go on sale April 1 while plates A through Z go on sale May 1. The deadline to obtain new plates for passenger vehicles A through K is April 30 and May 31 is the deadline for other plates.

Education Board Balks At Eviction From Center Trailers

Superintendent James G. Gibson told the March 12 Board meeting the education panel will not leave two joined trailers outside Batavia. The Board voted to let Gibson continue seeking relocation options while the county commissioners must approve moves since the Center lies outside the county seat.
