A Friday morning fire in Owensville destroyed the postoffice residence owned by Sam Marsh and occupied by Harley Montjor and Vernon Cramer’s barber shop. The blaze, caused by a defective kitchen flue, spread to church roofs but was checked by a southward wind and bucket brigades. the home was partly insured.
