Wilbur Hailji29 of Locust Corner road fired on Deputy Colonel Joe Colonel and hit neighbor Clarence Berry in the leg during a dawn to dusk rampage. Hall, a parolee from Mansfield Reformatory, was found armed with a stolen 30 40 rifle at his grandparents home after an eight hour search. Berry, 88, employed by Multi Color Type Company in Cincinnati, was hospitalized with a severely damaged leg likely to be permanent. Deputy Colonel was uninjured, hall was taken unarmed.
