Wiggins Kramer New Health Board Members

After a seven to seven deadlock, Clermont Advisory Health Council elected Dr. Charles Kramer of New Richmond and Carl Wiggins to the Clermont County Board of Health. The meeting, attended by Mayor Allen White, resolved a quorum and also approved hiring another sanitary engineer for 1955.

Mrs Frances Groves of Milford faces Clermont County grand jury action after being bound over on assault and battery charges for allegedly beating Pamela Carter 21 months old while the mother Mrs Gloria Carter worked. Joseph W. Irwin was chosen president of the Mt Carmel unit of the Clament Rangers at the annual election. Frank Urban was elected vice president John S Woods secretary Clarence Erickson treasurer and Verner Sellers captain.

Polio Vaccination Planned For First and Second Graders

The Clermont County Board of Health and the state department plan to vaccinate all first and second grade students. Definite plans become available after April 1. Next week, letters to parents and consent forms will be sent for handling.

Baby Drinks Kerosene In Batavia Critical Condition

A Batavia child, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Beebe, drank kerosene Monday evening. She was rushed to Children's Hospital by Police Chief Ed Colonel and Patrolman Willard Vance after initial treatment by Dr. F. Jase Alan Boer and the sheriff's office coordinated a rapid 24 mile ambulance run to Cincinnati with escorts to minimize delay.
