Three Abel brothers Henry and Joe plus Edward Dennis from Newport were captured after a daytime holdup of William Norris at Ripley. They fled by Chevrolet, were intercepted above Chile, and after a gunfight were taken to Batavia jail. Norris identified Joe Abel. $68 cash and a stolen $10 bill set moved. Milford Citizen Passes A B Applegate Veteran and Official
A B Applegate aged 88 died at his Milford home Sunday. For 50 years he taught in Clermont county public schools and served as justice of the peace with an unbroken record before higher courts. He was a Civil War veteran in Company B of the 71st O V I. Survived by his widow two sons George and A B and two daughters Mrs J Bauer Milford and Mrs Robert H Grews Cincinnati.

Youth Arrests for Car Theft Near Afton
Ray Hamisley 16 and Fred Al then 17 from Cincinnati were arrested near Afton for stealing a Chevrolet owned by J D Lewis of Cincinnati. They were returned to Cincinnati by the juvenile officer. The Batavia orchestra travels to Forestville Thursday night to help with an entertainment.

Court of Appeals sustains pool contract restrains Welch crops
Frankfort Ky March 7 Judge Flem D Sampson of the Court of Appeals upheld a Burley Tobacco Growers Cooperative Association pool contract with six other judges concurring. He continued in force an injunction restraining Richard James and Margaret Welch from selling or delivering their 1025 crop of tobacco grown in Mason county to any person or corporation other than the association. The Welch family delivered 8266 pounds to the Liberty warehouse in Maysville an auction warehouse not owned or controlled by the association and sold it on January 18 this year.
