Photographers Urged to Submit Flood Images for Harsha

Rep. William H. Harsha asks amateurs and pros to send flood photos from Clermont County to illustrate the need for the proposed East Fork Reservoir. Photos with location, date, and sender name on the back should be mailed to the 6th Ohio District Office in Washington. Clermont Adams and Brown Counties have been declared SBA disaster areas to allow low interest loans for flood repair.

New Auditor Metzger Takes Clermont County Post

H Earl Metzger 45 of New Richmond becomes Clermont County auditor succeeding Democrat John F Paschal after defeating him last November. He names Arnold Stumpf as chief deputy. Metzger Hardware is run by Arch Wrigglesworth during his tenure.

County Educator Injured In Crash

Two people were injured in a two car collision at 5 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Route 125 and Amelia Olive Branch Road west of here. Berta Lee Humphreys 43 of 52 Donna Drive Amelia suffered facial head injuries and was taken to Our Lady of Her Hospital by BMOP Life County. Superintendent Harry R. Moore 54 of 481 Craig Road Mt. Carmel had a fractured rib head bruises and a punctured knee and was taken to Dr Charles Simmons office in Bethel by Williamsville Life Squad. Patrolman McLister said Mrs Humphreys drove into the path of a westbound car on Route 125. State Highway Patrol reported a minor accident on fogbound South Milford Road one tenth of a mile south of Milford at 5 30 a.m. Tuesday Alvin BE Grill 26 of 46 Betty Lane Milford slid off road struck a fence. He had a lacerated lip and a broken tooth and was cited for driving left of center.

Girl Participates In International Music League Festival

Pamela Prindle daughter of Mr and Mrs John Prindle of Clough Pike took part in the International Music League Festival at the Hotel Sheraton Gibson on March 9 and 10. An accordionist in the eighth grade at Amelia Junior High she earned 100 on her solo and played in three bands that won first place. she plans a July American Guild of Music concert and an August Ohio Youth Talent contest.

Four Burglary Suspects Detained After Albers Oil Break-In

Four men were captured after a break-in at Albers Oil Co on Vera Cruz Pike near Williams Corner. Wounded suspects delay hearings as Lyman Hensley remains in serious condition at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital. Jack Latham and Gero Wilmoth were treated after Gordon LeBar fired a shotgun. Conviction may carry one to 15 years.

Flood Postpones Legion Birthday Banquet

Goshen Superintendent Fined One Dollar in Student Assault Case

Goshen school superintendent Robert Gower was fined $1 and half costs after a Common Pleas jury convicted him of assaulting a pupil on October 27 at a Halloween school event. Judge John H. Houston upheld use of corporal punishment within limits and criticized the investigation as outside the family of the prosecuting witness. The ruling emphasizes teacher discipline and limits on punishment in schools.

Batavia high school hosts the county science fair on March 30 open to seventh through twelfth graders. Four divisions include Junior High Biological and Physical Science and Senior High Biological and Physical Science with judges from Cincinnati firms and universities rating entries as Superior to Satisfactory. Easter Seal Drive Names Chair For Clermont County

Mrs. Rachel Franke was named 1963 Easter Seal chair for the Clermont County Society for Crippled Children. Sam Ausman, society president, announced the drive opens March 14 with mailings to residents and runs until Easter. The volunteers run the fund without pay, and most revenue supports handicapped children and adults including braces, eyewear, prosthetics, and regional epilepsy clinics.
