Bethel Church Votes to Build New Auditorium
At its annual meeting on March 6 Bethel Church of Christ voted to accept Dawson Evans Co. of Cincinnati for tearing down the present 1866 auditorium and constructing a 58 by 72 foot limestone and brick building with laminated arches and exposed wood ceiling. The 600 seat design includes 400 on the main floor and 200 in the balcony, plus a full basement for Bible school rooms. Construction to begin soon with completion in the fall. consulting engineer to be selected. Williamsburg Chair Factory Sells Play Furniture Line
Williamsburg Chair Factory in Clermont County has sold its play furniture line to Connor Furber and Land Colona. No furniture was exchanged. the firm will continue producing high chairs and play pens. The deal aims to shift toward juvenile furniture while retaining as many of its 75 employees as possible. James C. White, president and GM, cited shrinking hardwood supply and distribution changes as reasons for the move. The Connor company produces wood products including lumber, flooring, plywood, and cabinets. Williamsburg traces its roots to 1870 with William White, expanding through North Front Street plant by 1907, surviving the 1929 crash and 1946 corporate changes under Nicholas White and his sons.

Guest speaker Ed Wimmer of South Fort Kitchell Kentucky founded the Forward America Publishing Guild Inc in 1932 to promote family farms local banks and independent enterprises. He is a radio commentator of nine years and writes under Ed Wimmer in the Cincinnati Enquirer and Dayton Daily News.
