Betty Creager of Larado was elected president of the 4-H Leadership Club at the March 4 meeting. Officers include Alice Esther Moyer, Martha Anstaett, and Jerry Carlier. Plans focus on leadership training, singing, recreation, and crafts with committees appointed for program planning and county youth work. The group met with older members at a March 8 Youth Conference at Wilmington College, sponsored by the Farm Bureau.
Locust Corner Grange 2408 marks its 20th anniversary with regular meeting on March 19 featuring motion pictures talks music and refreshments. All Charter Members and other Grangers invited. Lunch committee Ruth Behymer and Anna Spitamiller.
Bethel High School Alumni Association launches fund drive to solidify finances. Members are urged to send $1 to temporary secretary Mrs. Maxine Trout at 245 East Plane St. Bethel, covering attendance at the annual dinner. President Ralph H. Parker Sr. and Vice President Bauer Pride lead, with plans for a biannual alumni paper if funds allow.
