Clermont County Bar Association Annual Meeting Recap

The Clermont County Bar Association met at Batavia School House on March 4 1988 for dinner and a program by Judge William Hanley. Musical selections were provided by the Batavia High School Quartet and Miss Lewis. Officers for the new year were elected: David H. Stevenson president Hugh M. Davidson vice president and Orville W Halbisch secretary treasurer. Executive committee members were B N West H L Britton and James W Walker. The meeting adjourned after the business session.

Reopening of United Brethren Church After Redecoration

The United Brethren church interior is redecorated and floor refinished. Volunteers from the church cleaned and served dinners. Reopening and dedication of the new organ are set for Sunday March 27 with Bishop A R Clippinger and Conference Supt L M Hohn leading an all day service and basket dinner at noon.

Odd Fellows District Meeting Held in Batavia Lodge Hall

A district meeting of the Odd Fellows 75th District of Ohio gathered 98 visitors and members at the Batavia lodge hall Friday night under District Deputy Grand Master Ed Brunk of Cincinnati. Talks on Odd Fellowship occurred, plans for monthly meetings discussed, and new life in Odd Fellowship suggested. Refreshments were served by Batavia members. next meeting time to be announced.

Clermont County Board Reorganizes Elects New Officers

The Clermont County Election Board met last Thursday and reorganized by electing Mack Agin of Milford as Chief, Frank White of Milford as Clerk, and E. S. Rush of Batavia as Deputy Clerk. Other members include E. C. Manning of Bethel Bruce Daughters of Felicity and C. J. Whitmer of Batavia.

Clermont County Equalization Board Meets March 9

The Clermont County Board of Equalization will convene March 9 for a two day session with Auditor Blythe Jones Treasurer J P Friend Jr and Commissioner J M Hutchinson present. The office of the Commissioners hosts the meeting at 9 a m with several complaints filed for review.

The Batavia American Legion Auxiliary units hosted the 4th district officers on March 2 at Mrs. Harold D. Nichols home. Marion Maxfield 34 and Virginalee Hill 26, both Bethel natives, will wed Friday March 11 at 7 pm in the Bethel Methodist Church.
