The commission approved new zoning shifts restricting mobile homes to mobile home parks and splitting the Bl resolution to limit business types in a district. The plan creates a new retail business district excluding unrelated uses and outlining manufacturing and service activities with special access needs.
The PUD for Villages of Shaylor Creek on Clough Pike south side about 2000 feet west of the site’s adverse drainage impact was approved. The 44 acre tract will host eight buildings with 12 to 38 units each totaling 181 units and aims to minimize environmental impact and flood risk. A zoning change for Mt Carmel Road property was denied. the corner lot at Mt Carmel Tabasco Rd and Rancho Lane is surrounded by business uses.
Harold Flannery received recognition from the boosters club for his fundraising leadership to build the Batavia Athletic Complex. He donated a three story press box and two $300 scholarships annually to two seniors, aiding athletic music and drama programs and other activities.
