The boards of three Producers' Co operative Commission Associations on the Buffalo Cleveland and Pittsburg markets voted in January to return part of savings as patronage dividends totaling about 52000. Buffalo reserves reach 9000 Cleveland 10000 and Pittsburg 7000. Buffalo dividend 20 percent of sales cost about 18000 with Indiana and Michigan taking larger shares. Cleveland dividend 18000 plus 25000 total notes payments and ongoing note payoff. Wires connect to the men’s and women’s halls for Sunday school church services and weekday programs. The inmates praise Mr and Mrs Ansteatt for this addition, saying the music lifts spirits and eases burdens.

Fire damages power house roof after engine spark
Last Friday a fire at the power house started from a shingle roof above the clear well, sparked by a passing freight engine. The flames were extinguished promptly with about 200 dollars in damage and the electric fire apparatus arrived in time.
Civil War era mother Nancy VanZant dies at 92
Mrs. Nancy VanZant of Paola Kansas died last week at age 92. She was the last surviving mother of a Civil War veteran her son Gilbert enlisted as a drummer boy at ten. New Livestock Marketing Association Formed In Clermont
A joint Clermont Farm Bureau and Clermont Livestock Marketing Association meeting appoints a new five member committee to replace an earlier group. The county finances include 1500 dollars and about half of Clermont County’s livestock is contracted to the new venture. The commission firm in Cincinnati begins operation February 10 to market livestock for members and non members, with patronage dividends limited to cooperative members. A March county meeting plans permanent organization and possible Farm Bureau reorganization. Three soybean schools with the Extension Department are set for Owensville Felicity and Franklin. The Bureau expects to buy arsenate of lead and lime sulfur sprays for members near end of the week.

John Libre 54 of 615 Wilkison street Cincinnati sues the Norfolk and Western railroad for 100000 in Hamilton County Common Pleas Court. The trial began Tuesday before Judge Fred L. Hoffman. Libre, a railroad brakeman, lost both legs when he was run over last May 12.
