William J. Bulow, 91, native of Clermont County, served two terms as South Dakota governor and two as U.S. senator. He died Friday in Washington DC. Funeral services were held Monday in Beresford SD. He was born near Moscow, Ohio, and later practiced law in Beresford.

Audio Visual Conference Friday For All Teachers
All teachers in Clermont County are expected to attend an all day audio visual conference at Clermont Northeastern High School on Friday March 4. The event, under Dr Clyde Miller from the State Department of Education, offers demonstrations on film previews tape recorders play backs stereo sound and more. Lew Lewis leads the Clermont County Teachers Association which sponsors the conference. The twenty fourth annual dinner meeting of the board of education and Clermont County Schoolmasters will be held at Northeastern on March 3.

Goshen advances to Class A tournament in Clermont County
Goshen will represent Clermont County in the Class A District tournament at the Princeton gym near Sauronville. They face Russellville from Brown County Saturday night after clinching the league title with a 69-51 win over Felicity in the Clermont County final.
