Mt. Carmel Woman Injured In American Airlines Crash
Mrs. Carl Ludlow of Mt. Carmel survived a crash of an American Airlines Convair at Memphis on June 22. Forty-one passengers escaped death as the aircraft skidded across a field and crashed into trees during takeoff. She was treated for severe bruises and shock at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis and later released.

Five Year Old Boy Injured in Soft Drink Case Incident
Tony Westpester, five, of Water Street Batavia, suffered serious leg and body injuries when a case of soft drinks fell from a truck driven by Claude Pierce of Lynchburg Ohio. He was treated by Dr A J Mastropaolo and later moved to Good Samaritan Hospital Cincinnati. Police Chief Ed Colonel transported the boy to the hospital after the driver braked to avoid him.

Mrs. Jane Etnier aged 24 formerly of Georgetown died in a South Harpswell Maine hospital from self inflicted gunshot wounds following a domestic dispute over dishwashing duties after a dinner with a notable guest group. She had been married to Marine Artist Stephen M Ethier 45 and was his third wife.

James Elvin Dalton, 16, of Pt Pleasant, known as living at the Sunset Tavern, has been missing since Tuesday evening. He wore a sport shirt and blue or brown trousers, is blond with blue eyes, weighs about 110 pounds, and reportedly has a black bag. Authorities believe he may be hitchhiking to Florida to visit his grandmother, whom he has spoken of seeing. Deputies say he had only two or three dollars and note the case will be reported to the state highway patrol if not found near home.
