The annual Clermont County Boy Scout Rally took place at Batavia school park and the Armory with Troops 263 Batavia 287 Amelia 210 Milford 282 Moscow and 292 Williamsville in afternoon parade and efficiency meet. Troup 210 Milford won first with 40 points. Troup 271 New Richmond second with 381 points. Amelia 287 third with 30 points. In the evening A E Roberts Scout Executive of Cincinnati spoke on a 24000 mile air tour of South America and Europe.

Clermont County Grand Jury recalled by Prosecutor Frank A. Roberts will reconvene Friday to probe the Clerk of Courts office. The panel, same as that which indicted ex County Auditor B L Ketchum, will hear charges against Clerk William Fomorin now free on 2500 bond for alleged embezzlement. State Examiner W H Howland, the main witness, helped uncover irregularities. he and Roberts also met Cincinnati surety officials about auditor shortage. Deputy Ralph Parker of Bethel now oversees clerk’s affairs.

Farmers in Clermont County Receive Adjustment Checks
About twenty five thousand dollars has been paid in Clermont County to farmers with adjustment contracts over the past two weeks. The funds come as adjustment payments for corn hog tobacco and wheat contracts with weed growers receiving the bulk of the final 1984 crop payment. Later payments will go to those with excess poundage who were late in grinding for fertilizer due to unsigned compliance papers.
