Fomorin Sentenced After Guilty Plea in Embezzlement Case
Fomorin, longtime clerk of courts, pleaded guilty to embezzlement and received 1 to 10 years at the Ohio Penitentiary. He repaid about 1300 dollars of the shortage, with 48 dollars paid in court and the rest earlier. The county may appoint a successor to Fomorin, while other defendants Ellis and Cash faced sentences. The grand jury investigated a New Richmond Press article and found no substantiating facts.

E B Baugh reports 489 4 H club members and leaders from Clermont county attended the annual club day at Coney Island the largest turnout in club work history Hamilton and Brown counties sent large delegations. District camp will run July 8 to 13 at Yellow Springs Greene county with several from the county planning to attend. County Camp at Lake Allyn runs July 29 to August 10 with younger members first week and older members second week.

William Lyle Charged With Cutting in Williamsburg
Sheriff Auxier and Deputy Brooks arrested William Lyle after a night search. Lyle, about 40, allegedly cut Oliver Miller's throat during a card game and fled. Miller received care from Dr. Martin. Squire McKeever bound Lyle over to the grand jury in $600. Lyle was returned to Batavia jail for Tuesday hearing.

Tragedy Ends Walter Shuff Life in Wagon Hit by Train
Walter Shuff, 62, formerly of Batavia township and resident of Morrow in recent years, was killed Friday when a B&O train struck his hay wagon. A daughter survives him. Burial planned in Morrow.

Tobacco Growers Referendum Planned On Production Program
Tobacco Growers in the county will vote in July on adoption of a production adjustment program to follow the current one set to expire with the 1935 crop. Eligible voters include share-tenants, share-croppers, renters, and landowners involved in Burley and cured tobaccos. Ballots may be signed and returned before July 28, unsigned ballots on July 27 at the county agent’s office.
