Clermont County Health Department warns private pool installations below ground require a permit. Fines up to 100 dollars may apply if cited. Inspections ensure sanitary facilities and safety devices, with examples of improper drainage and septic bed disruption.
County Commissioners set July 23 at 10 a.m. for a public hearing in the courthouse to discuss extending water mains in the Pierce Union Batavia system at an estimated 25 000 cost. The project would run along Cecelia Drive in Amelia Hopper Hill Road and Hal Cor Lane.
County auditor H Metzger certified signatures from residents outside New Richmond as valid freeholder signatures for annexation petitions. Wayne Oney county welfare director reports the U S Department of Agriculture will meet local officials to discuss bringing the Food Stamp Program to Clermont County as Clermont officials seek access for about 20 000 residents with incomes under 4000 dollars. The letter notes ties to Cincinnati and plans under Title V and War on Poverty efforts.
At the June 9 meeting the Clermont Northeastern Board discussed a proposed site for the new elementary building with Sullivan Isaacs Sullivan. They seek state approval and plan to focus on athletic field placement. Executive head Lewis C Miller noted state officials outlined the term supervisor appropriation and district wide centralized purchasing and menu planning for next year.
At the June 14 meeting the West Clermont Board of Education hired four new teachers Kathleen McMillion Cunningham Mary Jo Gino cchio Mary Alice Lee and Dennis Murphy. The board approved removing a wall in the Amelia Cafeteria and installing two serving lines. The 1965-66 calendar was approved with Aug 21 teachers meeting Sept 1 start date and breaks for Thanksgiving Christmas and Easter. Last day of school May 24.
Walter J. Ott is promoted to vice president in charge of the Rate Department, succeeding C. Maynard Turmer who plans to retire this summer. Miss Doro thy E. Wuerth becomes assistant secretary after long service since 1923. A regular quarterly dividend of 25 cents per share is declared for outstanding common stock, payable August 13, 1965 to shareholders of record July 15, 1965.
