Annexation Hearing Set After Petitions Certified in Ohio Townships
County auditor H Metzger certified signatures from residents outside New Richmond as valid freeholder signatures for annexation petitions. A public hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. June 30 in Clermont Common Pleas Court. Beckford Station lies in the area seeking annexation and an adjacent Beckford incorporation proposal was denied June 2 after a May 19 hearing. The Union township group appealing argues the proposed incorporation bounds are inaccurate and that any expansion must include all or none of the area, a point Prosecuting Attorney Robert A Jones said would require court decision.

At the June 14 meeting the West Clermont Board of Education hired four new teachers Kathleen McMillion Cunningham Mary Jo Gino cchio Mary Alice Lee and Dennis Murphy. The board approved removing a wall in the Amelia Cafeteria and installing two serving lines. The 1965-66 calendar was approved with Aug 21 teachers meeting Sept 1 start date and breaks for Thanksgiving Christmas and Easter. Last day of school May 24.

Walter J. Ott is promoted to vice president in charge of the Rate Department, succeeding C. Maynard Turmer who plans to retire this summer. Miss Doro thy E.
