Batavia Board of Education at its June 9 meeting set bid specs for milk insurance oil and a new bus with all bids due by July 13. The board accepted the resignation of Mrs Marguerite Winkle and hired teachers Nancy Gibbs Diana Head Elizabeth Mulliken and Edward Redington with assignments in first fourth German English and English speech plus creative writing.

Flag Dedication Set Saturday in Clermont County
The official Clermont County flag dedication is planned for Saturday June 19 at the court house square. Rob ert K lade chairs the program with the US Army Band from Fort Knox Ky and Lyle Faulkner s Fife and Drums providing music. The Rev John Coghlan will give the invocation and Mayor Richard C Jamieson will welcome. Judge Orville Halbisch will speak on Clermont s Heritage. Harry Reed Appel of Clermont County Historical Society will introduce guests and Dennis C Laithle who designed the flag. The Commissioners Ralph Houser Arthur Blake and Stanley Cann will accept the flag and the program ends after remarks Our Flag and the Future by Harry R Moore followed by the benediction and Dedi Prayer by Rev Lucien.

It features modern display and service fixtures and a large blacktopped parking area. White, son of Cris Afton, has years of experience in his father's business and now runs the new store. Clermont real estate taxes for the first half total $3,675,600, up from $3,421,361 last year. Current taxes $3,246,474. assessments $65,010. full-year payments $62,363. delinquencies $301,752, with about $700,000 expected to shrink in the second half. Prosecuting Attorney Robert A. Russell Simmons reports the Ohio Department of Highways is mowing weeds patching roads and repairing guard rails damaged in accidents. A new headquarters is near Rt 132 four miles south of Batavia and 600000 dollars is allotted to widen and install culverts and bridges on several routes.

Four Injured In Traffic Mishaps Across County
Two men and two boys were injured in separate traffic crashes this week. Harold Walters 23 and Anthony Singler 69 were hurt in a four car collision on Rt 125 east of Amelia with Walters held for observation and Singler treated and released. In Goshen eight year old Charles Greine was struck on Rt 28 and taken to Loveland Life Squad while 11 year old Frederick Sebastian was treated for a fractured collarbone after being struck on Rt 131 east of Milford and Charles Reese 38 cited for reckless operation.
