Five Injured in Auto Crash Near Batavia

Five persons were injured, one seriously, in a three car collision on Route 74 four miles east of Batavia Sunday evening. Injured: John S. Calvin of Cincinnati. his brother Wm. Calvin of Newport. Harry Schneider of Williamsburg. Fred Lamping of Cincinnati. Harry Scheffer of Cincinnati. John Calvin remained in serious condition at Christ Hospital. Wm. Calvin to Speers Hospital in Newport. Carl R. Oestreich of Milwaukee and his wife uninjured. Calvins returning from Mt. Crab fishing trip. Cincinnati party transported by Moore's ambulance.

Burley Tobacco Rental Checks Distributed in Batavia

About 601 burley tobacco rental checks totaling nearly $16,000 arrived at the Adjustment Office in Batavia last week and will be distributed to signers this week. The checks cover the rental payment due 1935 cooperators with a fee and hire derived to date, with one deficiency payment also expected for 1935 signers.
