Death Calls Beth Deter In 11 Weeks
Batavia grieves the death of Mrs. Beth Means Pringle Deter 25 wife of Francis H. Deter, Batavia High School principal. She died after an eleven week illness at Bethesda Hospital following the birth of her son. Funeral services are at 2 pm Wednesday at Batavia M E Church with burial in Reynoldsville Pa. She was born August 27 1910 in Seattle and educated in Battle Creek and Ohio State University where she belonged to Alpha Sigma Alpha. Active in Batavia civic life she led in the D A R the Batavia Woman's Club Grange Eastern Star and Study Club, a loss to the community's literary and social life.

Officiating was Rev Father Stuhlmueller. A post ceremony dinner for seventeen followed at the bride’s mother's home before a ten day East honeymoon and return to Port Washington Wisconsin to reside. The bride wore a white ensemble with yellow trim and a corsage of yellow talisman roses. bridesmaid Dorothy Scheer of Milwaukee wore white silk with pink accessories. Preceding the wedding Mrs Wilke was guest of honor at multiple showers hosted by friends.

Insane Fugitive Attacks Loveland Marshall and Bice
Marshall Parker of Loveland narrowly escaped injury when Paul Bice an escaped inmate from Columbus Insane Asylum attacked during Parker's attempt to arrest him. Train Wreck at W Mississippiburg Injures Two
