Milford couple, two indicted on bad check charges

Milford residents James Davis Arnold aged 21 and Diana Jean Arnold aged 20 were indicted by the Clermont County grand jury on theft and multiple bad check counts. They were arrested May 8 after allegedly issuing forged checks on a Society National Bank account on April 13. Also indicted was Donald Allen Niblick, 24, of Milford, for passing a bad check, while jailed at the state penitentiary for arson.

Kellerman to Build Stonelick Township Fire Station

Clermont County commissioners opened five bids June 16 for the Stonelick Township fire house project. Kellerman Construction Co. of Milford submitted the low bid at 78 478 dollars for a station at 5750 Williams Corner Road on three acres bought in 1909. The facility will house a pumper and two four wheel drive vehicles with restrooms, furnace and equipment rooms. Architect William C. Fiedler designed a brick veneer wood roof building to fit the residential area, with cost estimates around 70 031 dollars. inflation and brick costs may push bids higher. Work proceeds with state grant funds and EPA design approvals before construction.
