The Olive Branch Pins and Needles 4 H Club met June 13 at Mrs. Jean Taylor's home with 15 members. Reports by Clark Didday on maple trees Violet Lanham on poison ivy and Cindy Fiest on poisonous snakes of Ohio. A hike at Cincinnati Nature Center was discussed for June 21. Officers presiding were David Ramsey president Violet Lanham secretary John Back treasurer and Jeffrey Boggs reporter. Fourteen members represented the club in the Memorial Day parade. Refreshments were served.
The Frank W. Weaver American Legion Post 237 hosts a spaghetti supper at the Post Home one mile east of Batavia on SR 32. Dinner starts at 6 00 p.m. Tickets available from members or by calling three listed numbers. Parking on post grounds. Social by First Baptist Church Missionary Society at 4 00 p.m. June 24 with baked goods and sandwiches for sale.
Clermont County Schools sponsor a county wide film library begun in 1960 to reduce film costs and enhance audio visual aids. The collection has grown to 396 titles across grade levels with loans of projectors and delivery service available. Mary Raye Fisher oversees operations in Kahle Building offices. Film prices range 60 to 120 dollars with Coronet and Encyclopedia Britannica as primary suppliers.
