Commencement Held at Batavia Town Hall for County Pupils
Last Saturday Batavia town hall hosted a commencement for Sth grade pupils from county townships. Each graduate received a diploma entitling free tuition to a county high school funded by their home township. Diplomas were presented by Buote Patterson and Supt. Frank L. Cook of Milford Ohio aged 67 died Friday morning at Christ Hospital after an operation and a week illness. He served as vice president of the Second National Bank Cincinnati and was active in Milford banking and church work. He leaves a widow two sons Howard and Charles and four daughters Mary Edwards Esther Lilliah Ruth Cook.

Accidental Death in New Richmond Farm Barn
Freddie Wenker a 12 year old son of Wm Wenker of near New Richmond died by accidental strangulation last Thursday while playing in his father's barn with a dog chain. Elmer Wenker found him and the mother rushed him to Dr Hostetter who ruled accidental strangulation from a chain attached to a beam. Funeral Friday at German Protestant church Walnut Hills. Body taken to White's funeral home and coroner Dr Hostetter certified cause. Family receives community sympathy.

Madisonville youths suffer minor injuries in joy ride crash
Auto accident near Behy mer hill injures Herold Flinchpaugh and Lloyd Caster of Madisonville. Flinchpaugh, on eight year Navy furlough, and Caster were in a Ford coupe that left the pike, went through a railing, rolled twice, and wrecked the car. Sheriff Croaswell took them in overnight.
