County groups form Clermont Hospital Association
Representatives from 41 county organizations met to form the Clermont County Hospital Association as a non profit corporation and name eight directors led by Dr F S Skeen with J A Nordman as secretary treasurer. The group plans a countywide survey on hospital needs and will urge the County Commissioners to put a hospital bond issue on the ballot. Reverend R L Budd urged County Commissioner support and noted prior hospital campaigning in Brown County.

She is a teacher and registered nurse who previously directed science at Miami Valley Hospital. Also reported is 13 year old Dixie Lee Gullett injured when she fell from a flat bottom truck on State Route 222 and was taken to a Cincinnati hospital.

Elaborate preparations are under way in New Richmond for the Fourth of July parade the largest in the town's history. Participants assemble at 12 15 at the school then travel Market Street west to Plum south to Front east to Western Avenue northeast to Washington west to Union north to Hamilton and finally to the Veterans Memorial Park. The parade includes bands horses clowns pets and floats. A fireworks display caps the evening.

Woman dies in ambulance after car accident in Bethel
Mrs. Alice Moore Morrell of Bethel died in the J Isaac Maham ambulance en route to the hospital after a Route 133 crash near Hennings Mill Road. Driver William F Wells faced charges of driving while intoxicated and reckless driving, bond set at 1200. She is survived by husband George and Moore family of Bethel. services were held at Kennedy Funeral Home.

Winfred Wickey Moore, 26, escaped with facial and chin lacerations after leaving State Route 74, striking a bridge abutment, and plunging about 100 feet. He was hospitalized at Our Lady of Mercy. Deputy Woods said 45 minutes were needed to clear the wreck. Moore was fined 50 dollars, with 25 suspended, for reckless driving in Batavia.

Power Plant Expansion at Clermont Station Near New Richmond
Walter C. Beckford of Cincinnati Gas and Electric announced expansion plans for Clermont Station near New Richmond. A third generating unit will boost output by over 50 percent to 125000 kilowatts, with potential for 6 to 10 units totaling up to 1000000 kilowatts. The first 100000 kilowatt unit is under construction and a second unit will follow.
