Milford Hosts 6th Little Miami River Canoe Races Weekend
Milford prepares for Frontier Day as the 30 mile Little Miami River Canoe Race starts Saturday from South Lebanon and finishes at Milford’s American Legion Riverside Park. Races include two 15 mile heats, a youth and junior division, with trophies awarded to top finishers and a Nimrod camper prize drawing Sunday evening. Local groups sponsor food and activities at Milford Community Hall and the American Legion.

Lealand The State Mignon Diendhaed sal urged reconsideration of a plan to install public rest rooms at the roadside park and near the U S Grant Memorial. State Rep William H Massey, at residents’ request, has called for replacing rest rooms formerly under the Grant Memorial Bridge closed due to annual flooding. Grant's Birthplace museum run by the Ohio Historical Society faces the rest room issue as the Highway Department pressed for Society provision.
