New Law Sets 21 as Age of Consent for Marriage
A recent statute requires both parents to consent to marriages for anyone under 21. If a parent is dead, the surviving parent suffices. if both die, a guardian's consent is needed. The Probate Court will not issue licenses to those under 21 after July 17, 1923.

Under the late law the township office of treasurer will cease after January 1, 1924 where the township has a depository and the township clerk will be compelled to do the work as the school clerks are at present. They are called clerk-treasurer. They issue the order and pay them.
