Winthrop Frazer aged 73 died June 4 in Kansas City after a brief illness. Survived by three children Miss Nellie Frazer Mrs. Ernest Harley and Harry S. Frazer all of Kansas City, one sister Mrs. Fannie F. Ellis of Jefferson City and three brothers Walter C. Frazer in Oklahoma Houton Frazer of Warsaw Indiana and Perry D. Frazer of Ridgewood New Jersey. Born near Bethel he attended local schools and Lebanon normal school. Married Maggie Sargent in 1868. Publisher of the New Richmond Independent for years and later moved to Jefferson City in 1883 and to Kansas City in 1885 where he ran Frazer Printing Company as manager at death.
