Clermont County men win eight golds at Ohio Police Olympics
Eight Clermont County officers earned gold medals at the Ohio Police Olympics held in Akron. Mike Blust of Moscow Police won boxing in the 178 pound division with two victories including a first round knockout. John Sheshull, sheriff's deputy, captured the 275 pound powerlifting crown with a 1705 total. Gary West, sheriff's jailer, won best built policeman in Ohio. A five-man trap shooting team, including Harold Wilson and Pat Brannigan, dominated with 450 of 600 points, while Brannigan and Pike earned silver and bronze in various events. The sheriff’s department cooks aided training.
