Sheriff Holds Owensville Man on Theft Charge
James I. Blanton, 37, of near Owensville, is held on suspicion of theft following arrest after a station wagon linked to him was found at theft scenes. He allegedly stole food, fuel, clothing, firearms, a gun sales chain, and other items from multiple homes and sold goods through intermediaries. Deputy William Shepard assisted in the stakeout between Owensville and Williamsburg. The case involves several homes along Galley Hill Road, Hawley Road, Jackson Pike, Deerfield Road, and Newtonsville, with items including a gun, two shotguns, tires, a radio, and gasoline.

County commissioners approved revised bids for additions to the county courthouse with construction set to start around July 1. The total cost was trimmed to 132 675, with elimination of several interior items and fixtures. County Seeks Bids for 99 Miles of Roads Resurface
County commissioners on Monday requested bids to resurface about 99 miles of county roads. Bids will be opened July 1 with work totaling an estimated $162,913 to be completed by October 15 on 60 roads in the county system.
Slade Offered Three-Year Psychologist Contract
The Clermont County Board of Education voted to offer Robert Slade of Batavia a three year contract as school psychologist effective September 1 1960 on a twelve month basis. Slade will serve as testing and guidance director for the local districts. The board also adopted four year book lists for commercial and social science works. President R G Little commended the Clermont County PTA for contributions to a scholarship dinner honoring outstanding county students.
