Replica of Famous Old Liberty Bell To Be Displayed
Clermont Countians will see a Liberty Bell replica on display at the Court House Thursday afternoon June 15 from 1 to 5 pm with an official ceremony. John L. Walton organizer will lead a program featuring Mayor J F Pascal Batavia and guards from the National Guard VFW American Legion and Boy and Girl Scouts. Forest Ely Batavia Bank attorney and Roy Battles W L W Farm Director will discuss Independence saving and financial independence as the Bell tours Ohio State Route.

Milford softening plant goes into operation
The Milford Wa ks softening plant was put into operation early this week as residents note improved water from hard supply. A dedication is planned for this summer. The plant sits with the new electric pumping station as part of a 250000 modernization, with new mains laid and a larger reservoir not yet started. Edward Caudill has served as superintendent since the pumping station installation.
